across the alley from us there is a house that has about 4 little puppies. They're pitbulls and about 8 weeks old. Yesterday while outside in the yard you could hear yelping. Looking over the fence you'd see the owner kicking, yelling and throwing the puppies around in what looked to be an attempt to train them to fight. After calling the SPCA (Hamilton Humane Society) they told us they can't do anything, even if you film it the courts won't admit it....
what would you do?

Last night I had the opportunity to speak at Richvale's Youth church. I couldn't believe all the familiar faces...Megan West, Lauren Culley, Luke Barrett, Greg Heasman...just to name a few. The youth plan and organize the whole thing...and I've gotta say they're doing a great job of it. Thanks for having me!

Check out this site...
geezIt's a magazine that takes a hard look at faith and the world...while
mixing in a little humour.
This issue has an intriguing article on
Wal-Mart and communities who protest it...
here's a clip
Guelph, a city of 100,000-plus, is located an hour west of Toronto. Like
many cities its size, Guelph has experienced rapid economic development in the
last several years. And what developing city is complete without a Wal-Mart
Supercenter as its retail hub?
Wal-Mart originally applied in 1995 to the
Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) for a change in zoning of the property next to the
Jesuits, but their request was rejected. They tried again in 1998, and were
again turned away. Like most Goliath-esque entities in this world, the expansive
retail giant has seemingly unlimited financial resources, a whole bevy of
lawyers and as a result, influence matched only by its will to expand.
